Beach Beach Beach

Today was absolutely beautiful! We could not have asked for a better day.  This morning we headed to the pools after breakfast. Some swam, others went to the flow rider, and some just watched.  Then around noon we took the shuttle bus into town and went to the Beach Palace.  They have a nice beach there and you can play in the ocean.  Unfortunately, the beach here isn’t that great and you can’t play in the ocean.

We had the buffet lunch then headed out to the beach.  I think the grandkids really enjoyed it. Everyone at least dipped their toes in the ocean.  The Beach also has a water slide.  The littlest Buddy wasn’t so sure about it but after going down it once...... he loved it. I enjoyed the slide until a man was standing right in front of it (for no reason I might add) and when I came down I hit him with my bad foot. I didn’t knock him down but it didn’t move him back a little.  I spent the rest of my time lounging with Art. Princess was a girl after my own heart.  I don’t think she was out of the ocean more than 10 minutes all afternoon.  The kids collected a lot of sea shells.  Poor Dude was in need of some sun glasses so Art got him some from a beach hawker..........sadly while he was wave hopping in the ocean, a big wave hit him and grabbed his glasses off his face and carried them far out to sea. He did dig a huge hole in the sand though. It was awesome.  When say huge I mean huge. It was so big (how big was it?) it was so big he could get in it.

We did see a small accident.  A man was riding a jet ski and going way to fast.  He hit a big wave and flipped upside down and the jet ski hit him.  He cut below his lip all the way through.  Doctor looked at him and told him he definitely needed stitches.

After dinner Mega Man hung out with Art and I.  He knew there was a kid watch playroom here and really really wanted to see it.......so...... Art went back to the room to be with the girls, and we set out to find it.  Keep in mind this place is the largest resort in South America.  We were wandering a while trying to find it. We finally found it.  Mega Man’s curiosity was satisfied so we headed back.  It was a long long way from our room.  All that walking made my foot hurt so I told him we need to sit for little bit ..... just then a worker on a golf cart came by and asked if we wanted a ride.  Whew!!!!

One more day in the books.......and an other venture on tap for tomorrow.

Family Time Together

Talk about a crazy fun family reunion.  We all arrived yesterday.  We all came in on separate planes but similar times.  The Buddy and his family arrived first then Art and I then Mrs Doctor and her family.  Yes ....all six grandkids.  Woohoo!

This morning, we all had breakfast at varying times depending on when everyone got up.......or woken up.  After breakfast, Honey Bunch, Mega Man, the Dude, Miss R, and MK did the wave rider.  It is harder than it looks.  I think maybe two (if that) in the  bunch liked it. It sure looks hard.  We played at the beach and played in the pool. We met with our hotel rep and got the week planned out.  Doctor, Mrs Doctor, The Buddy, MK and I all had mini massages.  The funny part of that is we all were supposed to have the same type of massage but everyone’s was completely different.  Overall it was a super fun day!!!  The kids and grandkids had fun playing and Grandpa and I had a great time with them.

With all the the time out in the pool and on the beach all the girls look like lobsters.  They got really painful looking sunburns.  They went to bed slathered in aloe.  Hopefully it wont be too painful for them and with turn into tans soon.  Luckily the boys are fine.

We ended the night playing murder.  That is a good family game don’t you think?  Killing each other for fun.    Anyway, we had fun playing.   The award for the best death has to go to Doctor.   It was awesome!  We are so lucky to be a family.  My patriarchal blessing says my family will love to play and be together.  Boy has that blessing ever been present.  I have one awesome family.  The most awesome husband who always humors my hair rained ideas, best kids (I consider my in law kids my kids mine as much as I do my own kids). And best grandkids.  I am not sure how I got so lucky but I sure am grateful.

Tomorrow we are headed to one of the other resorts to play on the beach.
